The bitcoin (BTC) saw an exponent surge in its value from May 2017 to about December 2017. Such a steep rise in its value made many people seriously consider whether to invest in BTC and other cryptocurrencies or not. On 8th December 2017, the price of BTC was hovering at $16,000 and even $17,000 in some exchanges. But on this day, astrologer Anirudh Kumar Mishra made a prediction which not only contradicted the then trend of continuous surge of BTC pricing but also took many people by surprise who found hard to believe this prediction.
He claimed that investing in bitcoin was a real risk and that its value would see a major crash in the months of February-March 2018.

On 26 December 2018, he made a clearer prediction about cryptocurrencies and said that 2018 would not prove to be a good year for them. He predicted that bitcoin would lose 70-80% of its value (to which it rose at that point of time) in 2018. On this day, the price of BTC had slightly come down that the previously mentioned price as can be seen here.

Interestingly, by 15 January 2018, the BTC price had slumped below $11,000 mark in a steady slide. About a fortnight later, BTC price fell below $9,000 mark and CNBC covered it in one the tweets too.

A tweet by a Twitter handle The Spectator Index also posted BTC prices on multiple dates showing a continuous fall.

3rd January: $15,130
10th January: $14,890

A quoted retweet of the above tweet was also done by the astrologer on 1st February.

On 6th February, The Guardian published a report in which it got confirmed that the BTC price had crashed to below $6,000 mark, which was indeed more than 50% fall in the BTC price since the time Mishra made his first prediction on BTC prices. He laid down warning in the tweet that BTC would see more fall in the price as the month of March was still to come.

Though BTC price recovered after that period but BTC could never regain the momentum it had, and even at the time of writing this blog post, its cost hovered around $8,800, which was about 50% fall in BTC price since the time Msihra made his first prediction about crash in Bitcoin prices.
UPDATE (21.09.2018):
On 12th September, 2018, Bloomberg reported in this post that the 80% fall in Cryptos in 2018 became the Great Crypto Crash and is worst than the famous Dot-Com crash of 2000s.
Mishra quoted his above tweet and posted link to the above post on Bloomberg and confirmed that his prediction of fall in prices of Bitcoin and other cryto currencies had come true.
Thus his prediction about crash in BTC prices indeed came true in the period mentioned by him. How would cryptocurrencies behave in rest of the 2018? You’d get to see every prediction from the famous astrologer Anirudh Kumar Mishra on this blog. Stay tuned!
